I believe I’m cursed when it comes to furnaces.
I’ve moved all over the country because my dad is in the military, plus I’ve lived in a lot of different houses.
Unfortunately, in every house, it seems like we experience trouble with the furnace. The worst thing about this, is that these furnaces are never old or in disappointing shape. A lot of the time, these furnaces still have a lot of life left in them, however they seem to break down shortly after we move in. I can remember the first time the furnace stopped functioning in our house. I was still a small kid, plus I had to huddle in my dad’s bed as he worked on the furnace all through the night. A lot of people think that military families are rich, but that’s not the case. My dad couldn’t afford to pay for a Heating and Air Conditioning professional to repair our broken furnaces. By the time he got our furnace working again, he only had a few hours to sleep before he had to get up for work. This continued happening often, plus my dad began growing irritated with the furnaces in these houses. When he was given a different position in another state, he gladly accepted plus made sure to purchase a home with a better furnace. However, we hastily discovered that there were unknown problems with this furnace as well. I truthfully hope that my dad’s disappointing advantage with furnaces doesn’t pass on to me, because I don’t want to spend my life repairing furnaces like my dad.
