Honestly, I would have never guessed that my little brother would become an HVAC technician.
I guess that when I look back over the last few years, it makes sense that my brother wants to be an HVAC technician, but I would have never assumed that at first. We do not come from a family of HVAC technicians. My dad is an office worker, and my mom is a stay-at-home mom. Thankfully, my dad has a very good job, so he never has to worry about learning how to fix anything on his own. Whenever our furnace or central air conditioner stops working, my dad calls an HVAC technician and has him fix the HVAC unit. There are three kids in our family, and my little brother has always been the oddball. My brother and I have always been academically gifted, and we are both planning to go into the medical field. When my brother was born, we figured that he would enjoy the same kind of work, but he struggled academically. Sure, he worked very hard to improve his grades, but he did not have the same talents or gifts as us. My brother loved to tinker with things. He loves to take things apart and see how they work. Finally, my brother announced that he planned to become an HVAC technician. We all laughed because my brother has never been around an HVAC technician or even experienced the work of an HVAC technician. However, when he graduated, he immediately started working for an HVAC company, and he just finished his training to become a certified HVAC technician. We are so proud, but we never saw it coming! Good for him!
