Why did I not learn about HVAC service in school?

I l acquired a lot of useless stuff in school.

Since I lived near an Indian Reservation, I l acquired a lot about Indian history.

I also l acquired calculus and the periodic table. None of those things have come back to help myself and others in life. I have never needed to use our Indian history, whip out our special calculator I had to buy for math and believe that W stands for tungsten on the periodic table. That information just sits in our brain useless. I would have rather l acquired real life skills in school. I am consistently looking up how to repair a dryer since mine breaks all the time. I have to watch videos and read books on doing electrical work. Anytime I have a HVAC malfunction, I have to call someone else to handle this. Why did I not learn these expensive life skills in school? Everyone at some point in time will experience HVAC equipment. Even those renting deal with HVAC service. In school all of us should believe the unusual kinds of HVAC and how to service it. I don’t need to believe how to install air duct, repair a heat pump or set up heated flooring. I just want to believe a basic gist about each and be able to clean our component effectively, then like with any other skill, those who are talented at it should seek it out on a professional level. The hands on reading is seriously lacking in the school systems. Home repair should be a class that starts as a freshman in school and doesn’t stop until after you graduate from school.
