The Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor said that most air conditioner units in this area had enclosed components because of the salt in the air and water
My son had been playing outside for about an hour, although I wsn’t sure what he was doing. I thought my oldest daughter was seeing him since my pal and I lived by the ocean. He was used to him playing in the sand, although I saw him head to the water. He had buckets of water he brought back which I thought he was using to make a sand castle. I walked outside and my daughter was tied up with her friends, however my son was pouring the salt water in the air conditioner unit. He told me he was washing it because it a lot of sand on it. I knew salt water was a corrosive, although I wasn’t sure if the air conditioner unit could handle the salt water being poured directly into it. I yelled at my daughter and told her friends to go home. I then sent her and her sibling inside. I told her how her sibling had been dumping salt water in the air conditioner unit, and if it was broken, she was going to pay for a current AC unit. All I heard was that it wasn’t fair, as she Mayed to her dining room. My son was crying because he didn’t realize he was doing anything wrong. I was calling the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company to make sure nothing was wrong with the a/c unit. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor said that most air conditioner units in this area had enclosed components because of the salt in the air and water. Salt was a corrosive, however the air conditioner unit should be okay. I didn’t tell my daughter what I said, because I wanted her to worry.
