cooling system flow matters in IT

Working in IT is pretty interesting. I’m surprised at all of the people do not understand the basics of PCs, however most of these crucial companies should particularly have a full-time IT person… Instead, they just hire myself and others to come in in addition to service things once it’s already crashing in addition to burning. I mean that literally; This one company called myself and others in recently because their PCs keep going down. I took one look at their computer tower in addition to knew the reason why mediately. They have their cooling system set up wrong for the computer tower… You’re supposed to have it set up so that the frosty air goes into the front of the tower in addition to the intake vent (for the cooling system) is at the back of the tower. This keeps the air flowing in the usual orientation to cool down the PCs. Instead, this company had the cooling system blowing on to the side of one layer of towers, then additionally, they did not have a thermostat for the computer room. The computer room had the same temperature as the rest of the building in addition to was set at about 68 degrees, and needless to say, we had to make a lot of adjustments to get their PCs laboring respectfully, but we started by getting zone control installed into the entire building so that the computer room can be kept at about 60 degrees. We also oriented the computer towers differently so that all of the PCs are now getting frosty air flow on the usual side while the tepid air is being taken out of the opposite side. They shouldn’t have any more concerns at that company with PCs overheating, and but was that giant of a computer tower, they particularly do need a full-time IT person
