I recently graduated from Heating & Air Conditioning training and one thing everyone keeps asking myself and others about is if I we can offer any energy saving tips.
I would say that my only energy saving tips are to save energy! I am joking of course, I do have a couple of great tips on how to save energy on your Heating & Air Conditioning bill! The first and most critical thing I would say is to get a smart temperature control if you are able to. I guess some people are against the automated appliances, but it really is incredible to have a smart temperature control. A smart temperature control can easily learn your patterns and save you a great deal of money on your Heating & Air Conditioning bill. You have no idea how many people are saving hundreds of dollars because of their smart temperature controls. The next piece of advice I have for saving on your Heating & Air Conditioning bill is to shut your blinds… When you have your blinds open the daylight makes it challenging for your temperature control to remain low. The blinds open make it challenging for your A/C device to compete with the heat and you end up running your Heating & Air Conditioning bill way up. It’s actually a great deal cheaper to just get a light or simply enjoy the darkness and save the wear and tear on your Heating & Air Conditioning device. In the Winter it doesn’t actually matter, your Heating & Air Conditioning device won’t have to work any harder if the sun is shining. The last tip I have is to pay careful attention to your Heating & Air Conditioning bill and see what your neighbors are doing. Some Heating & Air Conditioning bills will actually show you your cost versus your neighbors so you can know if you are using more or less energy. If you are using more energy, it might be a good idea to redo your Heating & Air Conditioning device.
