Morning pop may never be the same

Working from home has definitely made me change my priorities. I no longer jump out of bed, rush to the shower, slam down a cup of pop and hit the road. Instead I spend the day in my comfy clothes, listen to the birds outside my window and prefer logging on to my worksite from my kitchen table. If I have a video meeting I attempt to make myself presentable and make my surroundings look as professional as possible with several young children running around the house. There has been another upside to this situation as well. I am able to schedule repairs being done around my condo because I am constantly here. I no longer need to ask the boss for time off to meet a specialist or repairman and so long as they are fairly quiet I can continue my workday as usual. My home has definitely benefited from my new labor schedule. Just the other day I was able to have the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contractor come in and not only perform routine service but wash my ductwork as well. Most of this was done from the basement where they accessed the idea so I barely heard a thing, but what normally would have required my taking a personal day to have accomplished was done while I was still logged on to my office. I have decided that I could really come to prefer this whole laboring remotely lifestyle in several ways as I am sure others are discovering as well, however part of me also misses the day to day interaction with adults as well so I am also looking forward to returning to a somewhat normal existence too.
