When I reached the ripe old age of 75 years old, I had decided that it was time for me to make some changes in my life. One of these changes was moving to another town. It was a move that I would have to make due to the rise in some troubling health problems that I was having. I had always been a northerner but now I was moving far south to escape the ever enclosing cold. When I was a boy I used to love the cold. The winter was my favorite season because it had a way of making everything like a whole other world and I have many fond memories of snowmen and snowball fights. I had already packed up everything that I would need and now I only had two weeks left before I would be in my new home, in a very different kind of climate. I was doing my best to be prepared before I arrived there and so I did some research about what kind of heating and cooling systems I could expect to find when I arrived. I was so used to having an oil furnace to heat my home that I couldn’t imagine anything different. However, I discovered that those were not used where I was going. I wanted to be educated about the kind of HVAC system that I would be dealing with, and I came to find that in the warmer climates the heater and air conditioner are often combined into one unit. I care about my indoor air quality and so one of the first tasks on my list when I moved was to have my heating and air conditioner get its tune-ups. This would ensure it lasted for a long time.
