I have good friends, so I was happy when everybody agreed to help me with my problem.
I was having issues with my HVAC system. Even though nobody really knew anything about working on HVAC systems, everybody still came over to help me out. We all were looking at numerous DIY HVAC repair videos while having some drinks and food. Everybody was enthusiastic and we got the tools out and got to work. We shut off the power to the HVAC system because that was rule number one according to the HVAC DIY repair videos. Then we started cleaning out the inner workings of the HVAC and we were looking for worn parts and other complications. We ended up picking up a certain part and we attempted to replace the part. After awhile, we were not able to do the work because the part we got would not fit and we ended up just hanging around while scratching our heads. We decided to clean up the mess as best as possible and I said I was going to just call a real HVAC professional to handle the situation. When the HVAC technician came over, he was asking us what we did to the HVAC system. He laughed when he learned that we all watched DIY repair videos to try to fix the HVAC. He said there was a reason why he and other HVAC professionals went to school for this, there was a lot of stuff to learn and you needed to build experience to be good at this type of work.
