Recently, though, I came across something called a smart thermostat
I know lots of people were surprised to find out that mail carriers don’t have cooling system units or gas heating systems in their vans… I wasn’t surprised to find this out because my partner works for one of the delivery companies; She has driven a hot, uncomfortable van around the neighborhoods in our areas for over many years now. I think at the beginning, it was pretty rough for him. She would use those cooling towels that you put on your neck all morning long on hot days. She said they do help somewhat, then the company van also has a little fan in it, but it doesn’t do all that much. Every morning she gets home, takes a shower, and then she sits right in front of the cooling system component vent. She doesn’t know I do this; but every morning I crank the cooling system component down about 10 degrees about the same time she is leaving from work. I want for her to be nice and comfortable after working outside in the heat all morning long. But then recently, I found out that our shift at work is going to be changing. I work in a comfortable office so this is no large deal for me… Except for the fact that I won’t be house to crank down the cooling system component for my partner much anymore. I guess that we could just leave the cooling system component at 60 degrees all morning long when we’re out but that seems like a waste if no one is home. Recently, though, I came across something called a smart thermostat. I would be able to program a smart thermostat to get cold right when my partner leaves work and I could even control the smart thermostat from our workplaces if I wanted to. I like that. I guess I’ll have our HVAC company install a smart thermostat soon.
