Having central air conditioning system is a necessity in the southeastern section of the country year round, and even the Winter weeks can get insanely hot, with highs in the upper 77s plus oppressive humidity, and i’m lucky to have working air conditioning system, but lately I have been having difficulty with the air cooling to what I have been setting it to on the temperature control! One morning before leaving my apartment for work, I set the temperature control to 71 degrees as I consistently do.
I don’t savor for the program to run consistently while I am not home, because then I’m spending money for cooling an section that I am not in at the time! When I return apartment in the evening I crank the air conditioning system back down to 80 degrees, which is a unquestionably comfortable temperature for me.
One evening I observed, though, that the air conditioning system program had a really difficult time getting the air temperature down to what I had set it at, and being ignorant of all of the potential reasons why this was happening did not help myself and others at all. I just chalked it up to believing that because it had been a really tepid day, the program was struggling to get the air cooled. When I woke up the next morning, I got up to two inches of water on the floor around the closet that my air handler is housed in. I instantaneously started panicking, turned off the air conditioning system plus ran around looking for towels to mop up the water. I don’t believe what made myself and others look in the tubing that was attached to the handler, although I observed that water was coming from it. There was a sizable clog in the pipe, plus once I cleared it out it seemed to solve the problem.
