When I got back from work, I asked my wife if she took care of the HVAC system maintenance.
When she said I never told her about calling for HVAC system maintenance, I explained that I left her a note in her purse.
Earlier in the morning, she was still asleep when I was getting ready for work and I knew we really needed to get that HVAC system maintenance, that’s why I slipped a note into her purse asking her to please take care of it. I figured that she was always looking in her purse for makeup and perfume and things like that, so she couldn’t miss it. Well, it turns out that she never even looked in her purse that day and she didn’t even go out. She actually asked me why I didn’t send her a text or call her about getting the HVAC system maintenance. I felt really stupid when she said that because that would have worked out better. I guess you could say I’m the traditional kind of guy who likes to write notes and send cards. It really wasn’t a big deal, but I did actually believe that she would have the HVAC system maintenance covered. I just decided to call up the HVAC company the next day because it was the weekend and I didn’t have to work. I even talked to the HVAC technician who came over and told him about what I did with the note. He also ended up asking me why I didn’t bother to call up my wife to ask her about getting the HVAC maintenance, or even better, I could have just called up the HVAC company directly.
