Helping out my mom

This upcoming month, I am helping my mother transfer into her brand current condo.

It’s a single story Villa style house with one kitchen, one bathroom, and a screened in lanai in the back that overlooks a golf course.

Since she will be residing with herself for the time being, this small & cozy house has everything she wants and desires. The home office & residing room are attached so she can watch cable while she cooks. Even though she has the freedom of a small home, she has all of her outdoor repair covered by the home association fee. It includes things love mowing, weeding, edging, trimming, sidewalk care, and various other things. As much as she likes this current place, she is upset that she will not have a place for relatives to stay if they want to visit. Because there is no guest kitchen, the only thing she could offer was the couch in the already cramped residing room, that’s when we both had the plan to convert the lanai into a guest kitchen. The main thing that she needed to do was upgrade the plastic windows with real glass windows & add insulation & drywall in a few areas before wrapping it up with a current paint task. But, we were instantly presented with a very important issue, all of us still didn’t know how we were going to heat or cool this current room. All of us consulted with a local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist to go over some of our options. The very first thought came to mind was putting in a portable air conditioner for the summer time season & a space furnace for the Winter season. Instead, the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C specialist said we could simply install a ductless mini cut which handles both heating & cooling. They’re extremely efficient & are built to last. The danger from an overheating space furnace is completely done away with as well. All of us pulled the trigger & are awaiting upgrade a week from now.
