My hubby tried to fix our gas furnace, but I believe he ended up splitting it up

Last week, the weather around here absolutely started cooling off fast.

As a matter of fact, the temperature dropped so fast overnight that the rain started chilly on the trees.

I wasn’t absolutely expecting the sudden change in temperature, and neither was my hubby. All of us hadn’t even had our correct HVAC maintenance and service done yet, and so our gas furnace wasn’t exactly what you would call ready for the Winter season. All of us tried to turn on our heating method since the temperature in the beach house dropped pretty abruptly, but the gas furnace just wouldn’t turn on, when I turned the temperature on the thermostat up, it just clicked and nothing happened, and no matter what I did, there was no nice heated air coming up through the heating vents. My hubby decided to go down to the gas furnace room in the basement and see what he could figure out, then even though I told him not to mess with the gas furnace, he started puttering around with the oil gas furnace anyway, but by the time he was finished in the basement, there was black smoke coming through the heating ducts in the hallway by the thermostat. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Then he ran upstairs, closed the door, and he said for me to get the HVAC business on the PC as soon as I could. It seems that my hubby ended up splitting up our oil gas furnace completely, and the two of us had to end up buying a whole current furnace! Next time, the two of us are absolutely going to call an HVAC professional in the first location.
