Buying a smart thermostat for my northern visits

I am a single gal in her mid twenties, I live down south and I work from home.

My brothers are there and I see them fairly often. In the summer I make the trek up north to stay with my parents. I get to see them for 2-3 months and my work isn’t affected. I just need to set up a workstation and I am good. Recently I have gotten smart about leaving my house. I used to just turn off the HVAC, let my plants die and figure I was coming home to a mess. Now I have everything all set up. I bought pods that store water and slowly water my plants overtime. I also have my brothers grab my mail once a week. I then bought myself a smart thermostat. I don’t need to turn off the HVAC completely anymore and come home to mold. In the summer I only need to worry about AC to prevent moisture in the house. So I set the cooling function reasonably and leave. While in the north I check my home temperature and thermostat settings in the house each day. Sometimes I make minor adjustments and sometimes not. What is super great is the thermostat even alerts me about humidity changes in the house. So I don’t even need to watch as carefully as I am. The thermostat also texts me about energy savings, air filter changes and any movement in the house. It has made everything so much easier and more relaxing when I go to the north. I no longer freak out about leaving the house and coming home to a disaster.
