I think there could be multiple people who don’t love saving money. Perhaps you could argue that the ultra rich just don’t care but, I bet even a superb percentage of those wealthy folks care a great deal to save a dollar when they can. I think I will consistently be sticking to slowly shaving a few dollars off the household budget. Honestly, I just don’t feel that it’s necessary for me to overpay on any item if I can do something about that. I would even suggest that I can even get downright obsessive when it comes to saving money. Our Heating and A/C utility bills are a large area of interest for me. The heating & cooling machine isn’t entirely old these days but it isn’t modern either. That means I always have to go out of my way to be sure it isn’t running all the time and causing more wear and tear. So, I sealed up the beach house entirely narrow by carefully caulking any gap or crack I could find. Then I did the same for the perimeter of my lofty attic and laid down some extra insulation to boot. I also installed some amazing solar drapes that are recognizably designed to mitigate the afternoon effect of direct sunlight. But, the large thing I had to get the family to address was the scheduled Heating and A/C setting. Most of the Heating and A/C savings start with the settings on your thermostat. During the Summer and the winter, every one of us has to maintain an Heating and A/C settings that make sense, or else every one of us will have energy bills that just skyrocket.
