I have been laboring for an Heating & A/C contractor for over 20 years now and have mastered almost every aspect of cooling systems, furnaces, and boilers you can think of, however everyone at work respects myself and others and if they have any questions about how to fix an Heating & A/C unit they come to me, but recently, our Heating & A/C contractor hired a current recrewt who was straight out of university, and she thought she knew everything there is to guess about Heating & A/C units just because she had study about them in an Heating & A/C textbook, but a lot of the Heating & A/C professionals who have been laboring here for a long time were getting entirely sad with this kid’s cockyness, and they asked myself and others to take him along on a single of my Heating & A/C tasks and show him how little she entirely knows about cooling systems and furnaces, however i decided to listen to them and took the kid with myself and others on a task… On our way there she would not shut up about what she had l received about cooling systems in university, she literally thought she knew it all, then while I will agree that her kid knew a lot about Heating & A/C units, I wanted to see if she could put her know-how to great use on this furnace both of us were on our way to fix.
When both of us arrived at the furnace, I told the kid, using textbook terms, what was wrong with the furnace and then stepped back and told him to fix it… The kid started out good, however soon she had no idea what she was doing and she couldn’t fix the furnace.
Out of pity, I came beside him and showed him how to fix the furnace, then from that day on the kid no longer bragged about how much she knew about Heating & A/C.
