This past summer, our kid was asking if the people I was with and I would get him a current bike, however the people I was with and I said that he was going to have to gain it.
- The people I was with and I suggested that he beginning going around to the neighbors to ask if they needed help around the condo with yard work & things like that.
The people I was with and I said he could use the lawnmower & the people I was with and I would pay for the gas he needed to use. So he went around mowing lawns & was making pretty great money! It turned out that our elderly buddy needed the most help. She was really thankful when our kid went to talk to her about any help she needed around the house. She had a whole list of things she needed to get done & nobody was there to help her out. She was willing to pay a wonderful amount of money for him to help out with all the work. She wanted him to help disinfect her Heating & A/C equipment & change the air filters. She wanted help cleaning the outdoor a/c condenser equipment also. He wasn’t sure how to do those things, although she showed him how it was done. He also did a bunch of other things like vacuuming, painting, trimming the bushes, & other things… Even by the time he made enough to buy his current bike, he was still over there all the time helping out our elderly neighbor. They became really great friends & our kid enjoyed just hanging out sipping on lemonade & talking. I’m ecstatic that our kid made such a wonderful buddy in our neighborhood & he has l acquired a lot about being a tough worker.
