I have to be so much more careful using the space heaters in my house.
I felt pretty confident that my space heaters were safe.
First of all, let me tell you why I need space heaters. I don’t just use space heaters because I like running the bill for my electricity very high. I don’t like space heaters because I like risking a fire every time that I turn them on. No, I have to use space heaters in my house because the furnace in my house is literally garbage. The furnace in my house barely qualifies as a working furnace. Sure, the furnace turns on and heats up, but the furnace was too small for my house in the first place, so it never really did a good job heating up my house. Furthermore, since the furnace is getting old now, it does an even worse job of heating up my house. If I were to only use the furnace without the heating system, my house would literally always be cold. That is why I have the space heaters in my house. If I didn’t have the space heaters, I would be very uncomfortable. However, there are some disadvantages to relying on space heaters. When you use a space heater, you are not supposed to leave them on while you are sleeping. Last night, I realized why. Space heaters are a fire hazard, and when they get too warm after running for a while, the cords can melt and cause a fire. However, I figured that I needed to leave the space heaters on and thought that they were just trying to be legally safe. However, my house almost caught on fire, and I learned that I need to take them more seriously.
