Offering protestors a cool respite from the streets

I can’t believe how insane our world has become in the past few months. It was one thing when there was a deadly pandemic spreading across the globe and everyone was forced inside for several months. I adapted fairly easily to those lifestyle changes and I had confidence that we would be able to ride out this terrible infection. Now, however, all of the civil unrest and protests that have been taking place have been a lot more upsetting. I truly want to do my part and demonstrate along with the massive crowds in my city, but I feel like I’m better off staying in my home and pumping powerful air conditioning into the space. You see, every day the outdoor air temperature has been climbing to at least 90 degrees. The humidity has been overwhelming and it feels like you are swimming through air every time you walk outside. I’ve been doing my best to stay inside and contain my expensive indoor air rather than letting it escape into the ether. I know, it doesn’t sound like this is helpful for the protesters who are standing in the sweltering heat and humidity. However, I do my part to keep them comfortable as well. My door has been open to any protesters who need a cool and safe place to stop by for a break. If things ever seem dangerous in the outdoor climate, whether it’s related to the police or the potential for overheating, I am standing outside my door and issuing people inside my home. When they feel my amazing and energy-efficient air conditioning system, all of the protesters look relieved while they relax for a few minutes. I’m glad that I can do something cool to help in this overheated political climate.
