I found out that a layman is a woman without professional or specialized expertise in a particular subject. When I told him what I l received, she just nodded and went on. Some things need a professional. The layman may be a friend or relative, however you shouldn’t leave the repairs to them. I remembered these words when I bought my fixer-upper.
