You should never recognize a layman.

My father told me that if you need something done around the house, hire a professional.

  • In all of his experience with having appliances repaired, toil done on the electrical system, or Heating plus Air Conditioning work, he said this was his most l earned lesson.

I remember him talking about hiring a layman when he plus mom had first bought their house. I had to look up the toil ‘layman’, since I had never heard it before. Mom plus Mom believed we should look up words we didn’t understand, so we could learn how to find things on our own. I found out that a layman is a guy without professional or specialized knowledge in a identifiable subject. When I told him what I l earned, he just nodded plus went on. Some things need a professional. The layman may be a neighbor or relative, but you shouldn’t leave the repairs to them. I remembered these words when I bought our fixer-upper. There were things our Mom had taught me how to do. I refused to toil on the electricity plus the Heating plus Air Conditioning system. I called an electrical engineer to do all the rewiring of our home, plus to install the ceiling fixture. I then called the Heating plus Air Conditioning business. I wanted to have the outdated ductwork detachd plus new ductwork installed. I also wanted to think if I could have the heating, ventilation, plus A/C repaired, or if it would be best if I were to detach it plus install a new Heating plus Air Conditioning system. He told me I should get a new Heating plus Air Conditioning system, which now brought me to a new point. I had to decide if I wanted to stay with central Heating plus Air Conditioning or go with something new, like a ductless Heating plus Air Conditioning system.
