It’ Time For a New Furnace

I am not sure about the exact age of my gas furnace, however I guess it’s old.

This gas furnace came with the house, which I bought 13 years ago.

When I asked my Heating plus Air Conditioning contractor how outdated he thought my gas furnace was, he said he could not tell for sure. Obviously, the two of us knew it was at least 13 years old. However, by looking at it closely, he guessed it was about 15 years old. I didn’t love how outdated it was, because I never knew when it was going to stop running! Every fall, when I switched on the gas furnace after a long season of it kneeling in silence, I feared it not turning on at all, or needing maintenance quickly after. The Heating plus Air Conditioning professional asked me a few questions about the gas furnace before suggesting anything, first, he wanted to guess how often it needed to be repaired. Then, he wanted to guess about my weekly weekly bills. I told him that it needed to be repaired at least twice per season plus that my weekly bills seemed to get higher plus higher as the years passed by, and based on my answers, the Heating plus Air Conditioning professional proposed that I look into buying a up-to-date one at the end of the season. It was costing me more money to keep my up-to-date gas furnace rather than buying a up-to-date one! A brand up-to-date gas furnace would cost more upfront, but it would save me money in the long run. I guess it’s time to beginning saving!
