There are times when I am amazed at the excuses that people make up for themselves.
It seriously seems people regularly want to say that they can’t do things rather than they don’t want to do things, which seems totally backwards to me.
I do not really understand why you would make yourself incapable voluntarily, and anyways I feel it’s a form of removing responsibility to take the easy way out. I have been seeing that going on a lot lately… especially with the people that I happen to work with. A bunch of them are pretty unhealthy and do not try really hard to get in great shape… But no matter what time of year it is they have a reason why it’s the weather’s fault that they are out of shape. This time of year everyone tends to be saying that it’s just too damn warm to step outside and get a bit of exercise. In fact, they often say it’s too warm to be outside and do just about anything – let alone get some necessary exercise. They seriously insist that if they tried to jog around the block there would be particular overheating and near-death from the overwhelming heat of the dreadful sun. I hate to tell them that there are a lot of possibilities besides running around in the sunlight. Of course that feels pretty awful. But what about working out in a gym where there’s A/C equipment? Is not that still an option? If you can’t deal with going to the gym but you need the air conditioning equipment, how about you invest in some home workout videos. Then you can easily blast your own air conditioning equipment as high as you want. You can even blow some fans around to make it feel a great deal cooler and fresher – you are in control. If none of that sounds doable to you then you could do what I do and just go for a jog around in the woods. I swear, the shade is a lot like natural air conditioning, but no matter what your preference is, you can find a way to get exercise in the Summer months separate from killing yourself in the heat.
