When my roommate Wendy plus I first purchased our home, I was excited with everything but the den. The den was rather oddly shaped plus a lot of space was wasted. Everything was severely old in there too. The floor was stained plus cracked tile in an ugly beige color. There was a drop ceiling, seasoned furniture, old shelves plus warped pressboard dressers. Even the light fixtures were a problem. Because my roommate and I are quite handy, the two of us decided to complete the remodeling project alone. Wendy and I tore the den down to the bare studs, swapped out the old wiring, insulated plus put up a current ceiling plus walls. The people I was with and I were then left with nearly endless choices for arranging the layout plus the style of the design. Sadly, the two of us had no clue on how to proceed. Wendy and I browsed the larger hardware stores, looking at choices for dressers, TV stands plus shelving units. I read through magazines plus searched for ideas on the laptop. I was terrified of installing a den plus ending up hating it. I eventually made the choice to contact a custom furniture store. I saw their reviews online plus all the people were totally happy with the results of their investment. The custom furniture shop sent a designer to our apartment. She sat down with my roommate plus I plus asked a lot of questions. She wanted to know exactly how the two of us saw in our minds for the space.
