How I solved my dry skin problem

For many years, I had accepted that cold winter months meant that my skin would become dry, and always flaky and itchy.

Every winter season, I have been burdened with the same dry patches of skin that itch until I have broken out in rashes all over my body, however I have seen a dermatologist who prescribed myself and others ointments, I’ve tried over-the-counter medications, and even gone to my friend who sells essential oils to try to find a holistic cure for my chronically dry skin, however, every winter season, the irritation and rashes return, and I had just begun to accept it.

It wasn’t until I talked to my Heating and Air Conditioning contractor about installing a humidifier in my home. He explained that my furnace was drying out the air in my home, and in turn, drying out my skin, and after a quick estimate, I was able to order a humidifier that would work in line with my existing Heating and Air Conditioning system, once the necessary parts came in, the Heating and Air Conditioning professional was able to quickly install the humidifier in conjunction with my existing Heating and Air Conditioning system. The replacement was truly quick, and there were no visible changes to my house, but the biggest change I noticed was that the next day, I woke up with completely hydrated skin, and all of the dry spots in and rashes had completely disappeared. After a lifetime of dealing with dry, itchy skin in the winter season, I have found great relief by simply calling my Heating and Air Conditioning provider and having a humidifier installed. The humidifier also helps the efficiency of my furnace, by helping to maintain the ambient temperature in my home, alleviating the stress on my furnace and in turn, lowering my energy bill, and the cost of ointments for my skin.
