I was one of the first people to sign up at the fitness center when they opened their doors. I have been a member for nearly fifteen years. Although the fitness center is a twenty minute drive from my home, I spend an hour there at least three times per week. It’s worth it to have access to the variety of machines and amenities. Over the years, I’ve appreciated the improvements and updates they have continued to make. When they first opened, there was a limited number of machines and dumbbells and little else. They have steadily added to the number and types of machines so that there is a variety of state-of-the-art treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbers and rowing machines. There is a long row of all different types of stationary bikes. There are specific machines to target strength training for all of the various muscle groups. The gym has added battle ropes, a rock climbing wall and an indoor track. They recently expanded to include several studios where they hold group classes. I have really enjoyed the yoga and pilates classes as well as circuit training and boot camp. They hold classes on all days of the week at a variety of times, so there’s always something that fits in with my schedule. I was really excited when they remodeled and expanded the locker rooms. Not only did they install all new lockers, showers and sinks, but they added a sauna and hot tub in both the men’s and women’s area. There is now talk of an indoor swimming pool, and I can’t wait. Although my gym membership gets a little more expensive each year, I am willing to pay more for all of the benefits.
