My small corporation recently went through a huge “boom” period of growth.
It’s been a long time coming, but still I was not entirely ready for it.
I’ve basically been running around in circles pulling our hair out for several weeks now. I know, I know, I should be grateful and excited that I’m having such a strong, productive and financially stable time. I mostly just worried about keeping up with all of the clients that keep walking through the door. That’s why, I recently had to upgrade our labor situation by getting a real office and hiring a strong support staff! Previously, it was just myself and a few others running the whole business. These afternoons, every one of us have nine full-time support staff running our office and our books. If you believe it’s a lot, you’re right, just acquiring the office and getting things set up for people to beginning working with such a costly ordeal. First every one of us found the space, and found out within a month that the central heating and a/c units were not at all operable. The office was respectfully burning tepid when every one of us were moving in the desks and computers. The air was so thick and heated that it felt adore you were swimming through a tepid bathtub. It was a miserable afternoon. I tried to hire and heating and a/c company to come out that day while every one of us were still moving, however everybody was booked for the summer. I knew how every one of us weren’t going to be able to wait that long for our AC to be flowing, so I had to get a bit resourceful. I managed to find an industrial AC unit online and studied up on the familiar replacement of central cooling systems. Within a month’s time I managed to get the cooling system up and running. Sure, it cost us a few emergency room visits..! But at least things are nice and chilled now.
