All This past month has been so funny. All of a sudden a huge Heat Wave came rolling through the nation, and most other people started panicking. No, that itself is in easily humorous. That was actually quite dangerous. The funny part was everybody freaking out over the air conditions that I’m used to living through in. People are getting 90 to 100 degree afternoons with an intolerably high amount of humidity. And then they started to panic. All of the news channels were talking about people overheating and perishing. I surely hope that did not happen, however there were ways to prevent such disasters. Personally, since I live in the Deep South. I’ve been here for a few years now… And you adjust to the heat and humidity pretty suddenly. When 8 weeks out of the year are completely miserable and tepid and believe adore you’re laying in a sauna, you’d learn to get over it. There’s really no other way to live. You invest in a brand new a/c system and you keep your beach house as comfortable as possible. When you get to warm you return to your beach house and stop moving. You let the cooled air take over and bring your body temperature back down. I was trying to explain this to our whole family as they panicked over the coming Heatwave, however they would not take our wisdom. They insisted that their AC units were running just nice and they would be okay. They replied that the weather just needed to cool back off. I understand what they are saying, even though I believe it makes more sense to be fully prepared for the heat then to insist that it changes. A lot of them complained about the humidity drawbacks affecting their indoor living. When I tried to bring up the AC unit once again they scoffed at me. It’s too humid for that they insisted. Humidity? You do not know what humidity is until you live down south for a summer.
