After the quarantine was lifted, I still stayed cabin with my youngsters.
The boss allowed various staff members to continue working from home.
The two of us were still getting things done on time and working efficiently. I wanted to continue working from cabin and my boss agreed… Now that I am cabin all the time, I needed an office to dedicate to work. I decided to turn the laundry room into a cabin office. The laundry is entirely large, and we do not wash or dry clothes in that identifiable room. The two of us keep the laundry machines in the garage. The laundry room has regularly been a storage space, although I saw room for improvements. My hubby agreed to help myself and others turn the room into a small working office with a printer, desk, ipad, and chair. One of the biggest upgrades was a portable AC. The room doesn’t have air duct for some reason. The suggestion we heard from nearly every Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional waas to buy a portable or ductless A/C unit for the space. The two of us decided on a portable A/C unit, because it was a bit cheaper. I keep the A/C unit on a small shelf behind my desk. The air blows on the back of my neck and it feels great. I can adjust the direction of the airflow and I can transfer the equipment to a variety of weird spots. The ducting needs to reach the window, although I have many feet of tubing. The equipment is quiet, powerful, and severely adaptable. I am much cooler thanks to the portable air cooling machine.
