Wondering if my ductwork could benefit from resealing

Our residential cabin growing up was in a beautiful village! Dad had worked hard to purchase it, and all of us all loved living in that area; it was near all the amenities, and its value kept growing each year. Dad was quite adamant about making sure the current home was in great condition; he even went further to call in professionals and experts once a year to make repairs. He said he might not have a lot to leave for us, however all of us would benefit from the cabin later on. One fall, dad was upset about the A/C plan in the house. He had turned it on to make sure it was particularly working respectfully before winter, the weather people predicted a brutal Wintertide ahead and urged everyone to ensure their heating units were in excellent condition. Our A/C equipment was located in the basement, which dad had refurbished into a swanky games room. It seemed the aircon equipment wasn’t heating every arena since there were chilly patches in some arenas. Dad opted to message the heating, ventilation and A/C repair and service corporation, however an aircon mechanic came and noted the issue wasn’t the A/C unit. It was the air ducts in the current home which had cracks letting out the warm air. The best solution for this was duct sealing which would prevent the loss. Duct sealing would be a lasting solution since all of us could like a warm current home all winter. It prevents the loss of warm air and lowers the energy bills in the process. Dad had tried cranking up the heat, which he knew would only increase energy consumption in the house. The A/C professional reassured him that dad would notice a significant shift in the electric bill while I was in the Wintertide months after sealing the ducts.
