My garage is so far gone I have to keep the door down out of shame.
I can’t believe it has come to this. And I knew better. I remember my parents garage and my mom and dad would go round and round about what went in it. My old man was adamant about two things in that house. Don’t mess with his study and don’t clutter up the garage. My mom was unwilling to comply with either. My poor dad used to come back from a business trip and spend hours the next day getting his garage back in shape. It was an endless cycle. When I got married and we bought our first house he told me to take control of the HVAC thermostat and always have room in the garage for cars and tools. That was his sole advice for a happy marriage. Well, my wife and I have done pretty well some two decades into a good marriage. However, I never fought her on the garage thing and now I wish I had at least held my ground. My garage is full of boxes, bikes, shoes, old paint cans and just any other junk that didn’t make it to the curb. Neither of our cars can even think about getting in that garage. So now, I have to keep the door down out of shame and the stench is killing me. I called the HVAC guy for some help. He suggested a exhaust fan. This was an easy fix so, I put on in the exterior wall. It helped tremendously. I just wish the HVAC guy could be as good with all the junk.
