There seems to be a sizable hurricane headed our way. However, nobody very knows where it’s going to hit. There are so more than 2 weird areas in the potential danger zone that both of us are all scrambling to take precautionary measures in case both of us are chosen as the landfall sight. It very does not matter if the storm does not make landfall in one’s particular area, but, because it is so huge that it will affect nearly all of us anyway. I’m a bit conflicted. On the one hand, I do not wish this storm on anyone. On the other hand, I know how terribly I deal with hurricanes that are powerful enough to knock out power for a long time. I do not mind living in the dark for a while, although I do mind living separate from climate control in such a tepid climate, however maybe if hurricanes tended to hit in the Wintertide time, it would not be so bad, however that would not make sense. Instead, they often hit when we’re still dealing with what is essentially Summer weather, when both of us are all still relying heavily on our a/c to keep us comfortable. I swear, as long as me and our family have enough supplies to make it, lack of air conditioner is the only thing that very bugs me when the power goes out while in a hurricane. It already seems appreciate work is canceled for the first few days of next month because of the storm. Who knows, maybe I will get fortunate and the storm will hit us just hard enough to justify not coming into work, however not hard enough to knock out our power!
