When we rented a cabin together recently, my wifey and I had a pretty strange experience.
For the most part, it was a pleasant experience because the nature was beautiful plus there were many places to hike, however, since it was mid-winter, everyone still went hiking around because there wasn’t too much snow.
One night the oil furnace stopped working. I got a fire going in the fireplace but I wasn’t sure that we had enough wood to make it through the night. My wife told me to please do something so I got on the cellphone with a local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C business that was only 20 minutes away from our cabin! They claimed they could only come out in the middle of the night if either of us paid for emergency heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services, but we didn’t care because we were all afraid we’d freeze if the firewood ran out! So we had a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning professional come out in the middle of the night, and we were able to get the oil furnace running properly again. He stated it was a good cabin, but that the oil furnace needed to be serviced before the winter. He could tell it had been a long time since it had been diagnosed. We realized that the rental business should have to pay for the emergency Heating, Ventilation, and A/C service and we told them. They tried to fight us, however we reminded them that they were at fault for not taking care of their Heating, Ventilation, and A/C maintenance. The lady seemed shocked that I knew that, but I said the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional told us about that.
