Winter was more bearable this year because we used humidifiers

Usually we begrudgingly put up with this every year, but this year we were much more comfortable after installing several humidifiers around the house

I’m sick of living in climate hell every year. Regardless of the season, we keep breaking our record highs and lows on a consecutive basis, year after year. It’s getting so bad that I had to purchase a snow plow just to clear out my driveway and backyard when the inevitable snowfall arrives. I also have to use a small snow blower to clear off our front and back porches. It’s hectic every year trying to navigate the extreme weather during the winter season. We have to use a lot of energy to keep the house warm, although our geothermal heat pump makes it so we only pay a fraction of what we used to when all we had was a gas fan-forced furnace. But even with the best heaters available, there’s the issue of humidity to deal with, or in our case—a total lack of humidity. Usually drier is always better with indoor spaces, until it gets too dry. It’s obviously subjective, but there’s a point between 30% and 40% humidity where your skin will start to crack and your lips will become chapped. Usually we begrudgingly put up with this every year, but this year we were much more comfortable after installing several humidifiers around the house. Each humidifier was only $20 at the drugstore, and in total we saved roughly 10% on the entire order by using our rewards points. Just adding these humidifiers around the house made a massive difference in our comfort level. Now I’m not going to loathe winter nearly as much as I have most years in the past.
