I was on my way out of town for a week, when I turned on the air conditioning.
I toggled the switches, but my car’s HVAC system wasn’t working.
I had a one thousand mile trip to make and I couldn’t go south without air conditioning. I took my car to the local service station that offered HVAC work. It took them two hours to get my car into the shop and only five minutes for them to say I needed a new HVAC system. I asked him how long it would take to have a new HVAC system installed. He told me it wouldn’t take long if they had one in stock. They were going to need to order a new HVAC system from a dealer, or from the main parts department. I didn’t have time to wait, and I asked where the nearest service station that had the part was located? . He said it was about a half hour ride from this service station. He called and told them I was on the way, and they weren’t to close the shop before I had the HVAC system replaced. I thanked the man for his help and I left for the next shop. WhenI got there, they told me they were getting ready to close. I reminded him what the gentleman from the last service center had said. He smiled and said he had the HVAC unit there, and it would take about an hour to change it out. An hour and a half I had excellent HVAC and I was on my way out of the state.
