Last weekend my family and I traveled up north to watch my sibling play in his college pigskin game.
One of the things that has been hardest about my older sibling leaving for college has been how tricky it can be to make it up to watch him and his team play.
To make it up to the college it ends up taking us around several hours of driving, and once you have made the trip once or twice it becomes seriously boring. Anyways, during our last venture up north the heating system in our automobile ended up giving out on us when all of us still had about 5 hours left on the road. My mom and I tried to tell our dad over and over that if all of us just stopped at a mechanic they would be able to replace whatever needed to be replaced in the Heating and Air Conditioning unit and then all of us could be on our way, although he simply was not having it. Every one of us ended up having to drive the rest of the time without any heating in the car. At a single point it got so chilly inside that I could swear I could see my own breath! I know that the only thing that made it all feel worth it was the fact that my sibling’s team was able to get the crucial win that weekend. On the way back beach house all of us were able to get the broken down heating system up and running, and I was also able to get my dad to promise not to put us in a sticky situation like not having heating on a long drive ever again.
