I have to take the attitude of letting fate take its course with particular things.
One of which is the lifespan of our central heating & a/c unit. The reason for this is because I can not afford to have the local heat & cooling system supplier come out to our apartment yearly to do heating & cooling system tune ups & check ups on our central heating & a/c unit appreciate others do. It gets to be quite a task & costly. I only end up getting a heating & a/c tune up & check up once a year if I am lucky. And occasionally I do not even do that. It could be a few years between Heating & Air Conditioning tune ups & check ups for me. Simply because I make such a low income at our task I can not afford the luxury of typically looking after our central heating & a/c unit unit. So our motto is whatever will be will be. If it turns out that our central heating & cooling unit breaks & I need a new a single, I will just have to find a heating & a/c dealership that has biweekly payment plans or put a brand new & completely up-to-date central heat & cooling system unit on our ATM card! Either way works enjoyable for myself and others & will guarantee myself and others a new heat & cooling system if I ever need a single. This is just the way things are in our life at the moment.
