I think we all come home from vacation wishing we could bring aspects of our trip home with us.
Well last August, I did just that.
The place we stayed on vacation had just such great quality heating and air that I wanted in our home. That’s how we got the HVAC technology upgrade I should have gone with from the start. When I had to replace the HVAC equipment about 4 years ago, I opted not to spend money on a bunch of HVAC technology. That’s because I just wasn’t sure of the value of this new HVAC technology. Now the HVAC equipment that we bought was the latest in residential HVAC. The SEER rating alone on the heat pump was nearly triple what the old one was. And I thought the HVAC equipment was just fine in our house. That all changed last August when we went on vacation. My wife chose the vacation rental for us at a beach that we love to take the kids to. It’s an all day road trip with the air conditioning maxed out in the car. But it’s so worth it. Well this year, it was even more worth it as the HVAC in the rental house was unbelievable. It had comparable HVAC equipment but it also had all that HVAC technology that I wasn’t so sure was worth it. When we got home, I called the HVAC company to set appointment to have zone controlled HVAC and a smart thermostat installed in our home. The beach house had both of these elements of HVAC technology and they made such a tremendous difference when it came to my HVAC cooling comfort.
