The weather has been very hot over the past couple of days. It’s hard to get any work done. The air conditioner is running constantly and I’m worried that it will not last until the end of the summer season. Last year we had problems with the air conditioner. We contacted a service company and the technician fix the problem but warned us that it was getting close to the time when we should expect to replace the whole machine. It’s really expensive to replace a home appliance like this. Did you know that the average cost to replace a home heating and cooling system is around $5,000? My wife and I do not have that type of money, so we have to go by the use it until it does not work anymore mentality. When it is over 100 degrees outside and the AC is running constantly, of course I’m going to worry that the machine will not last until the end of the season. We have been going to the river every chance we get. The river is a short walk from our house. The kids have rubber tubes and they play in the water. Sometimes my wife and I play in the water too. Usually we sit on the side of the river in our chairs and watch the kids play. We always make sure they wear a life jacket so they are safe in the water. When you live close to the river, it is absolutely important to use the water as a natural way to cool down the body.
