It’s no secret that nobody likes to work on the weekends. It doesn’t matter if you work in retail, restaurant services, or the business World. Nobody wants to work on Saturdays and Sundays. These days are considered the days when we should be relaxing. I’ve never really understood that concept, because a weekend day to me is a day when I am off. I like having weekends that end up being Tuesdays and Wednesdays, because I don’t have to fight crowds when I want to visit some of the tourist destinations in the area. Going to the amusement park on a Tuesday is just as much fun as Saturday, but the crowds Are about 40% less. It’s been tough to find furnace repair technicians that are willing to work every Saturday and Sunday. I’ve been doing my best to find someone that is willing to work the weekends. I have a client at the temp service that is looking for commercial furnace repair technicians to work at his business. The guy really needs employees for the weekends and I have had a lot of trouble filling the position. I interviewed a couple of prime candidates last week, but none of them would commit to working every single weekend. It’s going to really take a special person to sign up for Saturdays and Sundays. I advised the client that it might be easier to find someone if he offered some type of incentive for that shift. He does not currently offer anything to the employees if they sign up for those chefs and monetary compensation might really do the trick.
