Sometimes you wish you could divorce your family, but it never happens.
My wishing to divorce my parents was when they told myself and others it wasn’t my decision on what I took when I was in university.
They were paying for my tuition & they would choose my life course for me. I told dad i was going to be an HVAC company, & he just glared at me. My father told myself and others he didn’t care what I wanted. He told myself and others what I wanted while I lived in his house. Although I was only sixteen, I packed all of my personal stuff & went to my Grandfather’s house. I thought Grandfather would understand where I was coming from, but he didn’t. He listened to myself and others talking about being an HVAC company & he told myself and others it was a worthy career. He asked if I had explained to my parents why I wanted to be a HVAC company & not go to university. I whined that they never listened, & he ignored me. He said if I talked about my career in that whiney tone of voice, he would not listen either. After putting my bags back in my hands, he pushed myself and others out the door & told myself and others to go home & talk to my parents love a guy instead of love a little boy. This time, my parents listened, & they provided to pay for HVAC university after I graduated from high university. I guess my entire confrontation with my parents was because I sounded love a brat & not because they didn’t want myself and others to be an HVAC company.
