Fall and furnace tune ups

I was born in the fall and I have been a child of the autumn ever since.

I love everything about The fall season with all the holidays and the fashion.

That’s right, I feel most fashionable in my various jackets, hoodies and blazers that I wear when it’s chilly outside. I love when the leaves change color, everything is suddenly pumpkin spice flavor, Halloween candy is on the shelves, and it’s time to watch horror movies and to get ready for the best meal of the year at Thanksgiving. However, I have a particularly fond memory of my childhood in the fall. That’s when my uncle Roger would come over to make sure that the family’s furnace was properly maintained for the coming winter. Uncle Roger was a very talented HVAC technician, and he would always come over to his brother’s house to fix the family furnace for no charge. I think he even did it because he liked the work. However, he would always scold my dad for not keeping the furnace up as well as she should. My dad couldn’t even be bothered to change the air filters as regularly as was needed. We sorely needed my uncle’s help. However, I also helped in the process as well. Typically, my job included unscrewing the air vents and cleaning them thoroughly with a toothbrush. Even though this was not particularly fun work, I was still grateful for Uncle Roger’s help in making sure that our furnace was functioning for the brutal winter ahead, so I never complained. In fact, Uncle Roger always coming over to help us with the furnace taught me to be proactive in other areas of my life when I grew up!
