There are times that I get energized and ambitious when I really need to sit down and keep quiet.
Sometimes, my manic energy gets the best of me and I start working on things that would be best left for another time.
This could be responding to an email at a time when I’m too stressed out. Or attempting to take on a large project when I have too many other things on my plate. Or, I could be it somewhat inebriated and decided it was a good time to start messing with my central heating and cooling plan. This is what happened recently, apparently. I woke up this morning and my house was blazing hot. I jumped out of bed and stumbled over to the thermostat to find that the air temperature control program was set at a balmy 80° overnight. I had no idea how this could have happened, because I seem to recall my air temperature settings being around 68 degrees at night. I started thinking back to what I had been up to the night before and the memories started flooding back to me. I haven’t been out at a bar, happily drinking with friends when it started down pouring outside. Trying to get home, I was suddenly freezing cold thanks to my soaking wet clothes and the Abundant air conditioning in our lift. When I got back to the house, I had decided that I was over air conditioning for the entire season. I went to my smart thermostat and started punching numbers in a drunken stupor. Apparently, I decided that my home should be burning hot at night and then passed right out. Lesson learned, set a lock on your thermostat when you’re drinking.
