My partner is an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier & he cannot stress the importance of a homeowner changing the air filter. Every 3 months or even sooner my partner will change the air filter in our home. Sometimes my buddy and I change it sooner whether my buddy and I notice that there is more pollen outside or I feel that my buddy and I need to change it. My partner cares about to tell his clients that to keep their home comfortable & minimize any respiratory troubles all you need to do is consistently change the air filter. When homeowners do not change out dusty & clogged up filters, it can reduce airflow & increase the energy used to at least 5 to 15%. Air filters that are not changed can also lead to having a person replace other parts in their Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system. One part that can be affected by a dirty air filter is a dirty coil. A dirty coil can particularly affect the home ventilation system. Everytime my partner goes to a homeowner’s home to do some repairs it is mainly due to a dirty coil by homeowners not replacing their air filters. Every home that he goes to he always tries to supply them a heads up on how to replace an air filter & the effects to when an air filter isn’t changed. It is a simple task to do & homeowners need to be educated more about it.
