Both of us have 1 of the greatest county fairs in the country, in our area.
It is always held in the mid-Autumn so people can display the products they grew in their garden and the foods they dried or canned.
My fiance had a pumpkin at the tolerable that was almost 720 pounds, a couple years ago. Both of us like going and seeing all of the exhibits. Unluckyly, the month they have the fair, it is usually cool and rainy. I remember several times when I have been at the tolerable in my rain boots, carrying an umbrella and dressed for winter. Of course, there have also been times when you were dying from the heat and wishing you could find somewhere that had air conditioning. That doesn’t happen certainly often, which is a great thing. Not even the food stands have areas where there is air conditioning. When the heat arrives, you can see the steam rising from the constant mud puddles that come with the rain. I care about it when it is cooler and I will take the dampness. This year, there was certainly little rain, but a lot of frigid air. All of the food and vendor stands had these small personal space heating systems to keep them warm. I was looking for the stands that had enough heating systems that some of them were pointing out toward the shoppers. I wanted my own space heater, but since that couldn’t be done, I chose to go to the vendors and sit in front of theirs. My fiance was enjoying over her pumpkin, so no 1 bothered me. I had my space furnace and I wasn’t bothering anyone. I even bought something once in awhile.
