Last thanksgiving was quite a thing… Right in the middle of the family holiday breakfast my central heating, ventilation & A/C system went out! It was pretty freezing out too.
When the central heating, ventilation & A/C system’s furnace stopped fully working all of us did not all guess at first.
But as the hours went on all of us noticed it was starting to get pretty cold. So I went & evaluated the control unit & found that it was near 50 degrees in my house. I knew then that the central heating, ventilation & A/C system was done for. Beings it was thanksgiving, there was no way to call for heating, ventilation & A/C repair. So rather than kill the whole holiday breakfast & send almost everyone home & myself and others & my family going to a hotel, I was lucky enough to remember that I had 4 portable space furnaces in the garage. I went & dug them out & brought them in the house. I placed 2 of them in the study room where all of us were eating & 2 of them in the kitchen. To make a long story short, the portable space furnaces saved the day! Both of us were able to finish our breakfast as if nothing had happened & were also able to gather in the kitchen as per normal with the heating being fine from the portable space heaters. When almost everyone left, myself and others & my family did actually head over to a hotel to stay for a few afternoons until the holiday weekend was over & all of us could call the local heat & a/c company to service the Heating & Air Conditioning system.
