My partner’s birthday was the other day and I wanted to do something to surprise him. She has never been the type of person that has enjoyed surprises and actually gets quite irritated when I do try to surprise her. However with this surprise she actually ended up enjoying it. Over the past few months we have been having an extremely hard time keeping the house cool during the warm summer months. We live in an 1800s style home that came with no air conditioning and needed other major renovations. This has been something that has really bothered my partner during the time that we have lived here, so I figured that there would be no better way to help cheer up than to have one of my buddies down at the local HVAC company come over and install a few window air conditioning units early in the morning before she woke up. To my surprise the plan of having my HVAC buddy come over and do his job ended up going off without a hitch, and shortly after he finished my partner woke up to her big surprise. to be honest I think I could have gotten her a brand new sports car and she wouldn’t have been as happy as she was when she walked into her office and felt the cool breeze of the air conditioning blowing in her face. Considering just how miserably I have failed on past birthdays for my partner, I sure am going to soak this major success in as long as I can.
