There seems to be a sizable hurricane headed our way. However, nobody absolutely knows where it’s going to hit. There are so various peculiar areas in the potential danger zone that the two of us are all scrambling to take precautionary measures in case the two of us are chosen as the landfall sight. It absolutely does not matter if the storm does not make landfall in a single’s unique area, but, because it is so large that it will affect nearly all of us anyway. I’m a bit conflicted. On the a single hand, I do not wish this storm on anyone. On the other hand, I know how terribly I deal with hurricanes that are powerful enough to knock out power for a long time. I do not mind living in the dark for a while, however I do mind living without temperature control in such a hot temperature! Maybe if hurricanes tended to hit in the Winter time, it wouldn’t be so bad, however that wouldn’t make sense. Instead, they often hit when we’re still dealing with what is essentially Summer weather, when the two of us are all still relying heavily on our air conditioning to keep us comfortable. I swear, as long as me and our family have enough supplies to make it, lack of air conditioning is the only thing that absolutely bugs me when the power goes out while I was in a hurricane. It already seems prefer labor is canceled for the first few mornings of next month because of the storm. Who knows, maybe I will get lucky and the storm will hit us just difficult enough to justify not coming into work, however not difficult enough to knock out our power!
