Adding a rational approach to A/C

This Summer is going to be different… Granted, I’ve said that before however this time, I’m easily prepared to follow through with some control component discipline, and when you live where I do, the Summer is a immense dread.

  • I care about where I live however it does come with some outright scorching conditions that drag on for months.

I knew this when I moved here plus sincerely, it’s so worth it. The rest of the year is glorious when it comes to climate plus weather. Still, after five Summers, I was still spending far too much on cooling costs. And that’s for sure changing this year. Years prior, I did that loft prep to seal up the loft tight. I’ve always been consistent about getting the A/C tune ups. And it’s absolutely rare that the shades aren’t pulled to mitigate direct sun heating. While all of that is textbook for saving on Heating plus A/C costs, I couldn’t stay committed to control component discipline. Finally, that’s not going to be the complication this year. That’s because I got logical about A/C finally. The hot plus cold temperatures start to rise in April. And there are afternoons when I would just flip on the A/C plus leave it. While I thought that was sort of a normal thing to do, it was not allowing me to acclimate to the rising hot plus cold temperatures. I realized this after talking with a buddy who is a native of the region. So this Spring, I left the A/C off plus am much more accustomed to higher temps plus am leaving the control component where it is. So this Summer, I absolutely am going to save on A/C costs.
